Samaia was so impressive in Campos Racing machinery in postseason testing at Abu Dhabi in 2019 that the team signed him to run the Formula 2 schedule in '20. Though making a big competitive leap from the Euroformula Open Championship, he benefits from the experience of teammate Jack Aitken.
