Alonso only just missed out on the Crypto.com Overtake Award to Vettel. With his race car often better than his qualifying pace, his racecraft ensured he pulled off 128 passes as he charged through the field. In Sochi he was sensational, making 10 overtakes in changeable conditions. But his best move of the year came in Qatar, flying around the outside of a shocked Gasly at the start and up into second place.
